Getting Your Stuffed Animal Repaired In Spring Texas
A stuffed animal is one of the most useful products in your home. Your kids become playful with it and always remain happy and in a good mood. Since nothing is long-lasting, the stuffed animal is no exception. It, too, needs repairs when it breaks down or gets damaged. So, what will you do in this case? Well, you can opt for stuffed animal repair in Spring, Texas.
How Does Stuffed
Animal Repair Work In Spring, Texas?
There are many repairers that provide stuffed
animal repair in Spring, Texas. But you need to choose one of
the best ones. The repairers need four things—a needle, thread, scissors, and a
seam ripper. They carry out the following steps:
Threading The Needle
First, the repairers thread the needle, pull the
thread through, and finally, fold it over so that they have two strands of
thread. Now, they cut it so that the length of the folded thread is about 12’’.
To tie a knot, they take the two ends of the thread before wrapping them around
their fingers to create a little loop. Then, they push the end through the loop
and tighten down your knot. They may repeat this a couple of times to make a
large knot so that the knot stays on the inside of the stuffed animal.
Ladder Stitch Used To
Close The Opening
The repairers start with a needle on the inside of
the opening of the stuffed animal before pushing the needle through to the
outside. They do this right along the folded edge of the fabric where there is
the old seam. Now, they insert the needle into the other side of the opening
directly opposite of where it came out right into the folded area of fabric. After
doing so, they insert the needle into the fold's interior on the same side for
about 1/8" before pulling it back out. Once the needle gets out of the
fold, they insert it again directly into the opposite side of the opening. Now,
they push the needle about ⅛” through the folded area and back out again.
Tying The Knot And Cutting
The Thread
Finally, the repairers make a knot at the end of
their stitches by finding one of the last stitches that they made and pushing
their needle under that stitch. A loop of the thread is produced as a
consequence. Now, they put the needle back inside the loop of the thread.
Having done this, they push the needle into their stuffed animal and out a
different side of the animal. This way, the thread is hidden the inside the
animal.
